Satya Jyot Rana has won the Himalayan Swing Open Charity Golf Tournament. Satya Jyot scored an impressive 44 Stableford points in the tournament organized by the Rotary Club of Himalayan Golfers to support budding women golfers at the Gokarna Forest Resort Golf Club on Saturday.

Robin Rana came second with 36 points. Phuntsok N Lama won the best gross title and the most birdies title with a gross score of 35. He made 6 birdies. TG Shrestha won the senior title with 31 points. Aniruddha Singh scored 29.

The tournament was organized with the announcement of sponsoring talented young golfer Avani Rai for professional training and studies under the ‘Golf for All’ campaign.

Avani won the women’s title. She scored 32. Samjhana Khatri came second with 31 points.

Rabindra Tiwari won the Rotarian title. Bipana Shrestha and Som Gurung won the closest to the pin and longest drive titles respectively. 103 golfers, including 8 women, competed in the tournament, which was played in a Stableford format of 18 holes. Minister for Industry and Law Anil Kumar Sinha awarded the winning players. 

Under this campaign, Avani will undergo a month-long training at the Tarun Sardesai Golf Academy in Karnataka, India in the first phase.
