The second National Swimming Championship 2025 is scheduled to be held in Nepalgunj. Around 200 players from all over the country will participate in the competition, which will be organized by the Nepalgunj Swimming Club on Kartik 14 and 15.

School-level players from under 8, 10, 12, 14, 17 and open age groups will compete. The club has stated that the under 8 group will compete in 25 meters, the under 10 group in 50 meters, the under 12 and 14 groups in 50 and 100 meters, and the open group in 200 and 400 meters.

According to club president Keshav Raj Neupane, players from all seven provinces will participate. He informed that 56 events will be held in the competition.

The competition, which is estimated to cost about 1.5 million rupees, is the first national edition included in the annual calendar of the Nepal Swimming Association. However, this is the second edition for the Nepalgunj Swimming Club. Last year, the club organized a provincial-level championship. This time, the club has taken the initiative to collaborate with the provincial government to transform it to the national level, informed club member Krishna Adhikari.
