The Nepali men's volleyball team was defeated in the Kava Cup (Central Asian Volleyball Association) men's volleyball tournament on Monday.

Nepal lost to Sri Lanka in straight sets in their final match of the Kava Cup group stage in Bangladesh. Nepal had won only one match in the tournament, which featured six nations including hosts Bangladesh.

Nepal, which lost to Sri Lanka 25-18, 25-17, 25-20 on Monday, had won against Maldives in straight sets.

In other league matches, Nepal, which lost to Afghanistan and Turkmenistan in straight sets, suffered a competitive defeat to home team Bangladesh 3-2. Nepal is now scheduled to play Maldives in the fifth-place playoff on Tuesday.
