India defeated Australia by 9 wickets in the third and final ODI, thanks to excellent performances from two experienced players, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.

 

With this, the three-match ODI series has ended in Australia's favor 2-1. Chasing a target of 237 runs for victory at the Sydney Cricket Ground, India had achieved it by losing one wicket. Rohit scored 121 runs in a brilliant century. Kohli added 74 runs. They shared a partnership of 168 runs for the second wicket.

Earlier, Australia, batting first, had scored 236 runs before being all out in 46.4 overs. Matt Raines top-scored with 56 runs. Similarly, opener and captain Mitchell Marsh scored 41 runs. Harshit Rana took four wickets for 39 runs.
