After a goalless first half, Iran scored 3 goals in a span of 10 minutes. Sara Didar opened the scoring in the 49th minute. She also added a second goal in the 52nd minute.
Sabnam scored the third goal in the 59th minute. After that, Nepal tried to come back into the game, but it was not decisive and Iran won. Earlier, Iran had also defeated India 2-0.
Now Nepal will face India in the match on Monday. This is Nepal's second meeting with Iran in international women's football. Nepal had won 3-0 against Iran in the Women's Gold Cup held in Bhubaneswar, India, in 2019.
