Nottingham Forest have made a winning start since Sean Dyche took over as new manager, defeating Porto 2-0 in the Europa League on Thursday night.

Another English Premier League club, Aston Villa, was defeated 2-1 by Go Ahead Eagles.

Forest were winless in their previous 10 matches. Morgan Gibbs-White and Igor Jesus scored a goal each in their victory at the City Ground.

Both goals were from penalties. Denmark's Mitchelton are top of Europe's second-biggest club competition.

They beat Maccabi Tel Aviv 3-0 in their other match. Similarly, Viktoria Plzen beat AS Roma 2-1, Celta Vigo beat Nis 2-1, Celtic beat Strom Graz 2-1, Feyenoord beat Panathinaikos 3-1, Freiburg beat FC Utrecht 2-0 and PAOK FC beat Lille 4-3.
