The host Jyotipunj Youth Club has entered the finals of the ongoing third Jyotipunj Cup National Football Tournament in Palpa Rampur.
In the second semi-final held on Sunday, Jyotipunj defeated Devdaha Boys Club Rupandehi 3-2 to enter the final.
Devdaha Boys took the lead in the match when Suraj Chaudhary scored in the 14th minute. Jyotipunj's Sumit Shrestha equalized in the 26th minute. Jyotipunj's Neeraj Chaudhary scored again in the 37th minute to give the match the lead. In the 47th minute, Neeraj Chaudhary scored again to put Jyotipunj in a strong position.
In the match, Devdaha's Suraj Chaudhary added another goal in the 59th minute. Jyotipunj Youth Club's Neeraj Chaudhary, who scored two goals, became the Player of the Match. The winner of the competition, organized by Jyotipunj Youth Club, Rampur-7, Palpa with the aim of building a stadium, will receive a cash prize of Rs 350,000, a trophy and a medal. The runner-up will receive a trophy and a medal along with Rs 200,000.
