Kings Cricket Academy and Cricket Excellence Centre (CEC 77) emerged victorious in the Rising Star U-14 Boys Cricket Tournament on Saturday. Kings defeated CEC 23 and CEC 77 defeated CEC 33 by 5 wickets each at the Siphal Ground.
CEC, who won the toss and batted first, were all out for 75 runs in 13.3 overs. The team's Mingmar Sonam scored 30 off 24 balls, Shyam Poudel scored 12 off 5 balls, and Sameer KC scored 12 off 19 balls. Kings' Ayush Chalise took 4 wickets for 11 runs in 2.3 overs, while Ekendra Budha and Anshuman Thapa Magar took 2 wickets each.
Kings easily achieved the target after Santan Basnet scored 26 off 27 balls, Anshuman scored 12 and Pranish Giri scored 9 not out. CEC's Sugam Poudel and Smile Linkh took 2 wickets each.
In the other match between the two CECs, the 33 team, which batted first, scored 121 runs before being all out in 19.5 overs. The team's Dipran Pudasaini scored 24 off 20 balls, Saksham Nepal scored 15 off 27 balls, and Pranar Kamat scored 10 runs. Sebastian Lama of Team 77 took 4 wickets, Kirjan Shrestha took 3 wickets and Saksham Rijal took 1 wicket.
Shyam Basnet scored an unbeaten 73 runs off 36 balls as Team 77 easily achieved the target. Anupam Kathayat of Team 33 took 2 wickets and Pring Ojha took 1 wicket.
