Bhupendra Gurung is set to participate in the World Open Martial Arts Championship.

Bhupendra will compete in three disciplines in the competition organized by the World Fighting Martial Arts Federation in Boston, USA on October 26. He will participate in Changchun, Tai Chi and Musical Forms.

This is Bhupendra's second time in America. Previously, he had competed in three competitions in different cities in America. In which Bhupendra won 3 gold and 3 silver medals. Bhupendra has also won medals in competitions in Germany, the UK and Thailand. He has served as a judge in various national and international competitions.

National Sports Council Employees' Association General Secretary Kumar Basnet, Nepal Uma Kung Fu Association President Sanjit Kumar Rai, Vice President Ramesh Maharjan and Treasurer Surya Tamang bid farewell to Bhupendra on Saturday. Bhupendra will leave for America on October 23.
