Sahlesh FC reached the final by defeating Bhojpur Football Association 1-0 in the second semi-final match held at Belbari-11, Laxmi Marg, Morang on Friday. The goal scored by Sahlesh's Sujan Dangol towards the end of the extra time was the decisive one.
Bhojpur, limited to 10 players, adopted a defensive strategy for most of the match, but conceded a goal at the last moment.
Bhojpur's Vivek Rai was declared the man of the match. Now Sahlesh FC will face Kathmandu's Planning Boys United Club in the final to be held on Saturday.
The winner of the tournament will receive 8 lakh rupees along with a trophy studded with 4 tolas of gold and silver, and the runner-up will receive 4 lakh rupees.
The tournament, which is sponsored by Arju Rice Mill and the main sponsor is Belbari Municipality, was organized by Popiraj Rai and Jyotiraj Rai in memory of the late Major N.B. Rai.
