For the first time, women volleyball players from Palpa will participate in an international competition. 12 players, including Binita Rana from Rampur, Palpa, will compete on behalf of Nepal in the KAVA U-19 Women's Volleyball Championship-2025 to be held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, with the approval of the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) and organized by the Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation.

Rana was selected among the 18 members of the Nepal U-19 women's volleyball team. After being included in the preliminary list of players selected by the Nepal Volleyball Association on Bhadra 6 and 7, Rana made it to the 12-member national team after a month of closed training. The tournament will be held in Sri Lanka from Kartik 17 to 24, 2082.

Rana, who started playing volleyball through Step Rampur, is the first female volleyball player from Palpa to participate in an international competition for Nepal, said coach Kamal Rana.

According to him, Rana had represented Lumbini Province and performed excellently in the President's Running Shield,  Prachanda Cup National Volleyball, and Chief Minister's Cup. She participated in the 9th NVA Cup held in Pokhara from Everest Volleyball Club. Step Rampur has been participating in various competitions with free training for the upliftment of women's volleyball.
