A co-sponsorship agreement has been signed between NPL rival team Karnali Yaks and Nebico Limited. Karnali Yaks has signed the agreement for the Nepal Premier League cricket to be held from Mangsir 1.
On Thursday, Karnali Yaks Sports Pvt. Ltd. Director Grihendra Ghimire and Nebico Chief Ashok Pokharel signed the agreement. The agreement was signed in the presence of Nebico CEO Hom Neupane, Marketing Head Arun Poudel, and Karnali Consultant Coach Raju Basnyat at the agreement program.
Director Ghimire reminded that cricket is working to connect all Nepalis in the difficult situation of the country and said that the collaboration with Nebico for the NPL has increased the morale of his team.
Nebico CEO Neupane said that the future of Nepali cricket is bright and he feels proud to be associated with the NPL through Karnali.
He said that Nebico has completed 6 decades in production and expressed confidence that this collaboration will help in its professional journey. Nebico has been producing food items such as biscuits and cookies in the Nepali market since 1964.
Karnali has continued Gyanendra Malla as the coach in the second edition of the NPL. Malla is currently associated with the Nepali national team as an assistant to Stuart Law and the Twenty20 World Cup qualifiers in Oman.
Karnali Yaks finished third last season under the leadership of Sompal Kami. Along with Sompal, the team has retained Gulshan Jha, Nandan Yadav, Bipin Sharma, Dipendra Rawat, Arjun Gharti and Yunish Singh Thakuri. Karnali had taken players like Pawan Saraf and Yuvraj Khatri from the mini auction.
