Khasyuli Football Club Rupandehi has won the title of the first Laligurans Cup National U-19 Football Tournament organized in Rampur of Palpa. In the final match held at the playground in Rampur Municipality-5, Materi, Rupandehi's Khasyauli defeated the host LG Association Rampur Palpa by 2-0.
After the match ended in a goalless draw, a tiebreaker had to be resorted to after no goals were scored in extra time. Khashouli won the tiebreaker.
Khasyauli received 2 lakh cash, trophy, medal and certificate along with the title. The runner-up LG Association Rampur Palpa received a trophy, medal and certificate along with cash of 1 lakh. Khasyauli's Naveen Masrangi became the player of the match in the final match. Masrangi was also the best goalkeeper.
LG's Arvin Kumar Dhami became the best defender. The best midfielder was Saroj Darlami from Khasyauli. LG's Santosh Gongba became the best forward, while LG's Sunil Thapa won the top scorer award. Devdah Boys, Rupandehi became the fair play team of the
competition. The best player of the tournament was declared as Thapa of the organizer LG. The winning players were awarded by the Chief Guest of Rampur Municipality Raman Bahadur Thapa and others.
Defeated in the semi-finals, Devdah Boys and Walling United received 25/25 thousand rupees. Raman Bahadur Thapa, the city chief of Rampur municipality, distributed prizes to the winning group of the competition and said that it is necessary for everyone to come together to advance the sports field.
He said that Rampur municipality has started the work for the construction of sports infrastructure. President of LG Association Rampur Sudan Pokharel said that the competition was organized to advance the young generation in sports. Kamal Rana, President of Youth Union Materi said that 15 teams from different districts participated in the competition which started from October 18.
