Nepal Police honored Karate medalist Erica Gurung on Friday.

Erica won the gold medal in the WKF Karate One Series 'A' held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from October 17 to 19 organized by the World Karate Federation. .

Erika won the gold after beating Tunisia's Masakni Tesnim, Czech Republic's Hakova Amalie and Poland's Deniszewska Julia in the Kumite 68 kg category. Erica, who defeated Hakova 7-0 in the semi-final, stopped Masakni 2-0 in the final. Erica is the first Nepali athlete to win gold in

Karate One Series 'A'.

Similarly, Swanim Manandhar and Savina Shrestha, who participated in the WKF Senior World Championship qualifiers held in Paris from October 31 to October 2, organized by the France Karate Federation, have been bid farewell.
