The new date of the 5th Ward President's Cup Veteran Football Tournament organized by Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ward 7 has been announced. The competition will be held from October 25 to 29.
Earlier, the competition was scheduled to be held from August 28 to October 2. The competition was postponed due to the Zen-G movement. The chairman of the organizing ward, Bimal Kumar Hoda, said that more than 16 teams will participate in the competition. The tournament will be played in six-a-side format for players above 40 years of age.
The winner of the competition, which will be held with the technical support of Chawhil Sports Club, will receive a prize of Rs 1 lakh and the runner-up will receive a prize of Rs 50,000. The best player, best player, goalkeeper and defender will be awarded with 5,000 cash each. The match of the tournament will be played on the basis of
knockout at Chandravinayak Park, Chawhil Maidan.
