Sompal Kami 1 and Nandan Yadav remained unbeaten in 2 runs. Navinraj Rajendran and Anudeep Chenthamra of Kuwait took 2 wickets each.
Japan is in Group B along with Nepal and Kuwait. The top two teams in the group will advance to the Super Six.
