Nepal will participate in the Asian Team Table Tennis

6 players from Nepal are going to compete in the 28th edition of the Asian Table Tennis Team Championship to be held in Odisha, India.

3 male and 3 female athletes will participate in the tournament to be held at Kalinga Athletics HPC Building in Bhubaneswar from October 11 to 15.

Sanyog Kapali, Ruvin Maharjan and Rajeev Chinkbanjar will compete in the men's category and Navita Shrestha, Vianka Rai and Ivana Thapa will compete in the women's category. The team will have 5 singles matches.

The general secretary of All Nepal Table Tennis Association Kuveraprakash Singh is the head of the team and Mohandas Basukla is the coach. Coach Basukala said that 22 nations will participate in the tournament.

According to the Table Tennis Association, the players were selected based on the South Asian Regional Table Tennis Selection Tournament held in Nepal last July for the World Table Tennis Championship.

National Sports Council Member-Secretary Tanklal Ghising, President of Table Tennis Association Brijendra Bahadur Hamal and others bid farewell to the 8-member Nepalese team on Wednesday.
