Malaysia, who batted first, scored 111 runs after losing 5 wickets in the scheduled 20 overs in Kuala Lumpur. After Indu and Ruvina's innings, Nepal scored 115 runs in 17.3 overs and won the match. With the score tied, Indu hit the winning boundary.
Indu scored 48 off 39 balls and Ruvina remained unbeaten on 23 off 23 balls. Kavita Kunwar scored 16 runs off 26 balls. Ruvi Podar was dismissed for 5 runs, Jakjan Khadka for 11 runs and Pooja Mahato for 7 runs.
Mas Ilisa scored an unbeaten 56 off 63 balls from Malaysia. Similarly, Mahira scored 18 runs in 21 balls and Noor Dania scored 15 runs in 15 balls. Nepal's Kavita Kunwar took 3 wickets by spending 10 runs in 4 overs. Pooja and Kavita Joshi took 1 wicket each.
