Nepal's captain Indu Burma has become the first Nepali woman player to complete 1000 runs in women's Twenty20 international cricket. Indu achieved this record by scoring 15 runs in the fourth Twenty20 International match against Malaysia on Tuesday.
Indu completed the achievement of 1000 runs in the 77th match. She has only one half-century in her Twenty20 international career so far, which she did against Qatar in Doha in 2021 with a 55. So far he has hit 73 fours and 3 sixes.
Indu has now reached the top position in the list of players who have scored the most runs in Women's Twenty20 internationals for Nepal. Earlier, Sita Ranamar has scored 965 runs in 62 matches and Ruveena Chhetri has scored 916 runs in 78 matches. Sita has not been in the playing XI in the last two matches.
After Ruvina and Sita, Indu is the most experienced player of the Nepali women's team. She has been playing in the national team since 2011. But Nepal has started playing women's Twenty20 internationals only since 2019, so this achievement is based on the performance of the last 6 years .
The ACC U-19 Cup held in Singapore in 2010 was India's first international tournament. With today's win, Nepal has tied the series at 2-2.
