The historical silver winning athlete Sunmaya Budha has returned to her country. Sunmaya, who won a silver medal in the World Mountain and Trail Run Championship held in Spain, returned to Nepal on Tuesday morning.

Budha was welcomed by officials of Nepal Adventure Running Federation at Tribhuvan Airport.

Sunmaya won the silver medal in the world championship organized by World Mountain Running Association in collaboration with World Athletics and International Association of Ultrarunners. 

She completed the women's long trail run of 80 km in 10 hours 23 minutes 03 seconds. Nepal Adventure Federation made Suman Kulung, Sange Sherpa and Mankumar Roka participate in the competition along with Budha from Nepal. Preeti Khatri was the manager of the team.
