West Indies set a target of 174 runs by Nepal

Asif Sheikh and Sandeep Zora's half-centuries helped Nepal set a target of 174 runs to West Indies in the second Twenty20 international on Monday. After winning the toss and batting at the Sharjahan Cricket Stadium in Sharjahan, UAE, Nepal scored 173 runs losing 6 wickets in the scheduled 20 overs.

After Asif and Sandeep shared 100 runs in 66 balls for the fourth wicket, Nepal managed to make a good score against West Indies. Opener Kushal Bhurtel 2 and captain Rohit Poudel were dismissed in 3 runs. After Kushal Mall scored 7 runs in 9 balls and was run out in the non-strike end, the pair of Asif and Sandeep froze.

Asif scored his eighth and Sandeep his fourth fifty in Twenty20 internationals. Sandeep played 39 balls and scored 63 runs by hitting 3 fours and 5 sixes. Asif remained unbeaten on 68 runs off 47 balls with 8 fours and 2 sixes. West Indies set a target of 174 runs by Nepal

Gulshan Jha hit 1 six and was dismissed for 6 runs. Adil Alam hit 1 four and a six and got out for 11 runs . Nepal added 65 runs in the last 5 overs. West Indies captain Aqeel Hussain took 21 wickets in 4 overs and Kyle Myers took 2-2 wickets with 26 runs in 2 overs. Jedih Blades got 1 wicket.

Nepal defeated the two-time Twenty20 world champion West Indies by 19 runs in the first match on Saturday, while Nepal, who batted first, scored 148 runs with the loss of 8 wickets.

If Nepal wins this match, it will take a 2-0 lead in the 3-match series. The third and final match will be played on Tuesday.
