Asia Cup: India champions for the second time in a row

The Indian team has won the Asia Cup title for the second time in a row. In 2023, India defeated Sri Lanka in the ODI system and this year won the title by defeating arch rival Pakistan in the final.

India won the title by defeating Pakistan by 5 wickets on Sunday night.

India chased down the target of 147 runs given by Pakistan at the Dubai International Cricket Ground and scored 5&nbsp in 19 overs 4 balls. The target has been achieved while losing wickets. With this, India has become the champion for the ninth time in the Asia Cup.

Tilak Burma scored a half-century of 69 runs for India. He played 53 balls and hit 3 fours and 4 sixes. Similarly, Shivam Duve scored 33 runs while Sanju Shyamson contributed 24 runs.

Faim Ashraf took three wickets for Pakistan. Similarly, Shahinsa Afridi and Abrar Ahmed took one wicket each.

Pakistan, who lost the toss and batted first, scored 146 runs losing all wickets in 19 overs.

Sahibzada Farhan scored a half-century of 57 runs for Pakistan. He played 38 balls and hit 5 fours and 3 sixes.

Similarly, while Fakhar Zaman scored 46 runs, other batsmen could not score double-digit runs except for Saim Ayyuv who scored 14 runs.  Kuldeep Yadav took the most four wickets for India in

bowling. He spent 30 runs in 4 overs . Similarly, Jasprit Bumrah, Varun Chakraborty and Akshar Patel took two wickets each.
