With the help of Igor Thiego's two goals in the first half, Brentford defeated Manchester United 3-1 in the English Premier League on Saturday. The defeat has put United and their coach Ruben Amorim under more pressure.

Brazilian player Thiego opened the scoring in the eighth minute and added the second goal in the 20th minute. Benjamin Cesko scored a goal in the first half for United.

Mathis Jensen scored Brentford's third goal in the fifth minute of injury time in the second half. Before that, captain Bruno Fernandez missed a penalty for United in the second half. His shot was saved by Brentford's goalkeeper Quevin Kelleher.

After this win, Brentford has seven points and has risen to 11th place . United is limited to seven points and has fallen to 12th place .
