Despite their improved performance, Nepal lost 3-0 to India in the semi-finals of the U-17 SAFF Championship 2025 on Thursday. With this, Nepal's challenge in the competition has ended.

Defending champion India managed to enter the final and now they will face Bangladesh in the clash of the title. The final will be held on Saturday. These two teams also faced each other in the finals of the last edition.

Gunlebia Wangkherakpam scored the first goal for India in the 61st minute against Nepal at the race course ground in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Then Azlan Sah added the second goal in the 80th minute.

In the injury time of the second half, Diamond Singh scored the third goal for India. Although Nepal succeeded in creating pressure on India, it could not make a decisive turn. After the first half ended in a goalless draw, India changed its strategy and played an aggressive game for the rest of the time.

Before that, Bangladesh defeated Pakistan 2-0 in the first semi-final held on Thursday. Bangladesh took a two-goal lead within the first five minutes and maintained it till the end.

Najmul Huda Faisal scored for Bangladesh in the third minute. Opu Rahman added the second goal in the fifth minute.
