The process of selecting the players through trials held at different locations across the country is over. The final trial was held at the Mahalakshmi Sports Hub in Kathmandu. The organizers said that there was a significant participation of the players in the trial. More than 1500 players participated in the trial. Among them, 250 players will be selected for the auction.
The organizer said that this tournament will be an important platform for tennis ball cricket players to show their abilities. Seven teams will participate in the competition. There will be a total of 25 games. The league stage will be in single round robin system. The top 4 teams will make it to the semi-finals. The winner will get Rs 21 lakh and the runner-up will get Rs 11 lakh. Gyanu Singh, chairman of the
tournament, said that this league will develop grassroots cricket by building a strong and inclusive platform for emerging talent. "The purpose of this tournament is to give opportunities and inspiration to local players and to develop Nepali cricket from the grassroots level," he said.
Currently, the competition has been postponed for some time. According to the starting date, the competition was scheduled to be held from October 21 to 31. However, in view of the Gen-G movement on August 23 and the current situation in which the country is in mourning, the organizers have informed that the competition has been postponed. The organizers said that the new date of the competition will be announced soon.
