Speaking at the farewell ceremony of Nepali team going to UAE to play three Twenty20 series against West Indies and paying tribute to those who lost their lives during the Gen-G movement, Secretary Khadka said, 'If the country does not move towards further instability in the future, the NPL will take place within the specified period.' Representatives of all 8 franchise teams participating in the first edition of the
program participated. He said, "The entire amount from the sale of tickets for the first day of the NPL will be deposited in the Prime Minister's Fund." As the schedule of the NPL is yet to be announced, it has not been decided who will play in the first day's match.
