The Nepal Olympic Committee (NOC) announced on Wednesday that the 20th Asian Games to be held in Aichi and Nagoya in Japan have been registered along with the number of athletes. Accordingly, a total of 434 players have been registered for 32 games, 239 men and 195 women.
The next Asian Games will be held from September 23 to October 8, 2026. The deadline for participating countries to register the games and the number of players participating in them was Tuesday, September 16.
Earlier, since 30 sports were registered to participate, the number of players for 32 sports including taekwondo and football has been sent. Based on the number of players sent by the association for those 32 games, the NOC has registered the games with the number of players.
NOC initially wrote to the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the National Sports Council for this, but they did not respond. Since the Nepal Athletics Association has not sent the list, the NOC itself has sent the number of male and one female athletes in the marathon.
