Mukesh Pal is going to compete in the 20th World Athletics Championship to be held in Tokyo, Japan. Mukesh will participate in the 1,500 meter race in the competition to be held from September 13 to 21.

Mukesh has a national record of 3 minutes 49 seconds in this competition. Nepal Athletics Association secretary RK Bista will go to Japan as an official along with him.

Rajeev Vikram Shah, President of Athletics Association, will participate in the World Congress to be held in Japan from September 10 to 13. The 3-member team is scheduled to go to Japan on Tuesday.

The National Sports Council (Rakhep) vice president Dhruv Acharya and Rakhep member Suvarna Shrestha bid farewell to the team on Monday.
