Saphal Pun of Alkapuri High School and Sangrila Shrestha of Ward 5 of Kathmandu Metropolitan City won the double circuit run. Saphal came first in 3 km and Sangrila in 2 km distance.
On Saturday, Safal completed the prescribed distance in 11 minutes and 34.8 seconds. Aviral Bahadur Singh of Anmol Jyoti was second and Tirtharaj Upadhyay of Kathmandu English was third.
Sangrila spent 9 minutes 52.7 seconds to complete the schedule. Uma Bam of Tangal Mavi became second and Asier Tamang of Shiv Narasimha Shikshalay became third. The top three in both
groups received 12,000, 9,000 and 6,000 prizes respectively. Cash prizes were awarded to fourth to tenth place.
winner is the organizer Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ward. Vinod Prajapati, president of 5, Bhaikrishna Balami, president of Kathmandu District Sports Development Committee and others gave the award. 265 athletes participated in the competition which was co-organised by
Nar De Jeevant Handigaon and with the technical support of Gorkha Runners Club. The race started from Ghanapokhari Hata and ended there.
