In the Indo-Nepal karate competition, Samriddhi School team became the champion on Saturday. The host Samriddhi won 20 gold, 10 silver and 8 bronze medals and became the team champion.

India came second with 10 gold medals in the competition held in their own school premises. Savir Shrestha Dangol of Samriddhi was declared the best player in Kumite boys and Sapna Giri of Manmaijuki was declared the best player in girls. Anvi Shahi of Bedang was selected as the best player in Katama. Anvi won double gold. Dumbar Bahadur Ale from Bedang was the coach and Subas Karki was the best judge. The

winner was awarded by Senior Vice President of Nepal Karate Federation and President of Nepal Wadorio Karate Association Harisharan KC. According to coordinator Ravi Shahi, 283 athletes competed in 45 events in kata and kumite during the two-day tournament.
