National women's volleyball team captain Shahi injured

Aruna Shahi, the captain of the national women's volleyball team, was injured while playing the ongoing league in Pokhara. Shahi, the captain of Lumbini Lavaz, was injured during the match against Karnali Yeshvis in Vatsalya Everest Women's Volleyball League on Saturday.

He has an injury on the upper part of his eye. Shahi said that she was discharged after 6 stitches were applied to the injured area. After treatment, she returned to the hotel where the team members were staying on Saturday evening.

While receiving the ball, she, who was also the marquee, collided with Veronika Zubareva of her own team. She remained out of the field after suffering an injury and bleeding. At that time, Karnali was leading by scoring 21-17 points. After Lumbini's players were under pressure, Karnali scored 4 consecutive points to win the set.

Although the performance improved in the fourth set, it was not enough to win. Finally, former winners Karnali defeated Lumbini in a 3-1 set. Lumbini won the first set 25-23. The subsequent sets were also very competitive. Karnali won 25-21 in the second set, 25-17 in the third set and 25-22 in the fourth set.

Lumbini is playing against Pokhara Ninjas on Sunday. Aruna will probably miss all the next four matches in the league due to the stitches.
