Volleyball is the most popular sport in Nepal and its fertile ground is 'Gandaki Pradesh'. In the same volleyball, Gandaki's name is leading in the famous club outside the departmental team. Whether it is five development regions or seven provinces after federalism. Be it Western or Gandaki. Never lag behind in volleyball. Now, if Gandaki doesn't participate in volleyball events, it seems to be insufficient.

Gandaki's team has one player at a time, who is very popular among the audience  . One of those famous names is Himal Sunari. He is the son of Himal Revansingh and Khagisara Sunari, born in Palpa Nisdi-4. Although the birth place was Palpa, the place of volleyball became Gandaki . Himal's volleyball journey started from Tiptop Help Nepal Sports Club. Then he joined the Gandaki team . Himal, who started playing national level games from the fifth NVA Cup, made his debut in Gandaki from the second Tiger Cup volleyball in 2078. 

His presence in all the national level competitions in Nepal has not been broken . Kava Club Volleyball Championship, Ninth National Games, 34th National Volleyball Tournament, NVA Cup, etc. He became the attraction in all competitions. Representing Gandaki, he has reached UAE, Malaysia and Hong Kong. Why is Himal popular among

supporters? It is due to his sportsmanship and graceful nature . His main feature is Quick Spike . His enthusiasm in the game makes the audience jump. He plays an important role when the team needs it. And in Gandaki, where there is a craze for volleyball fans, there are many supporters of Himal.

Why is Himal not in the national team despite being so talented? The reason for this is his tall stature. However, the Himal has no sorrow in this . He plays from the city to the village and from the accessible to the remote. When it comes to the international level competition through the local Toll Cup, the titles won by Himal have no value. He says, "I want to wear the jersey of the national team". But nothing . The audience's love and support is everything for me.'

Gandaki is very dear to the Valiwal Himal. He says, 'Gandaki is everything to me . Volleyball has given me a lot, I have to pay it back. Himal is now nominated in the People's Choice category of the NSJF Pulsar Sports Awards 2081. In the past, national women's volleyball players dominated the People's Choice, but this year, Gandaki's Udana Tara has claimed the award. Himal will be the first volleyball player to win the award apart from female players. She is competing with Vijay Sinjali of Usu, Ivana Thapa of table tennis, Rekha Paudel of football and Pooja Mahato of cricket.
