Sankat has confirmed their qualifying journey in the women's league on Tuesday. He achieved this historic achievement after defeating Nepal West 6-1 in the group 'B' match of ANFA Women's League Qualifier 2082. This is Sankata's fifth win in a row and he has 15 points. Sankata top their group and are assured of at least second place.
A total of 14 teams are participating and they are divided into two groups. At the end of the league stage, the top two teams from each group will be selected. There will be a playoff match between the two teams that are in third place. Sankata is the first team that is certain to play in the women's league from this time's selection
Poornima Rai scored a hat-trick for Sankat in the match at Chasal ground. She scored in the 31st, 42nd and 55th minutes. Similarly, Senu Pariyar scored two goals in the 5th and 60th minutes. Roshni Tamang gifted an own goal in the 67th minute. The goal made possible by Nepal Best was in the name of Vipana Gurung. It was possible in the 18th minute.
This is Nepal West's fourth defeat and the team is on one point. Chhahari defeated Sindhupalchok 1-0 in Group A match on Tuesday and came close to qualifying. Seema Rawal scored the only goal of the game in the 13th minute. After this win, Chhahari has 10 points from five games. Sindhupalchok remained on zero points after the fifth consecutive defeat.
