The ad hoc committee of the Nepal Olympic Committee formed under the coordination of former president Dhruv Bahadur Pradhan claims that they are the only official Olympic committee and it will be internationally recognized. Everyone knew that this would not happen.
Since the formation of the ad hoc committee, the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) has written a letter and issued a threatening warning not to misuse its 'logo' on Sunday.
OCA Director General Hussain Al Musallah wrote a letter to the President not only saying that using the logo on their letterhead is illegal, but also warned of legal action if it is not stopped immediately. This letter has also been addressed to IOC and NOC. The
letter states, 'We officially inform you that it is illegal for you to use the OCA logo in your letters. This is also an official warning. If you do not stop using the OCA logo, OCA will take necessary legal action.
An ad hoc committee of NOC was formed on August 4 under the coordination of Pradhan and it has the support of the government. It has been called illegal by the Olympic Committee headed by Jeevan Ram Shrestha. Earlier, Youth and Sports Minister Tejulal Chaudhary had also written a letter to invite Nepal to participate in the next Asian Games to be held in Japan. It was not accepted by the Asian Games organizers.
Similarly, in the first press conference held since its formation, the ad hoc committee also claimed to ensure Nepal's participation in the Asian Games. But the OCA, the main organization of the Asian Games, has now written a letter with a threatening warning to the same committee, causing confusion.
