The second Timbung Pokhari trail run competition will be held on August 26. The competition was organized with the aim of further promoting the pond in Sidingwa Rural Municipality. Prizes and running distance have also been increased compared to last year.
Organizers have said that runners from all over the country will participate in the competition organized by the Timbung Pond Conservation and Development Committee. According to the program coordinator Amir Rai, it will go from Pangduwa at a height of 3,800 meters to the big Banjang at a height of 4,200 meters and will end at the pool area at a height of 4,350 meters. Its distance is 15 km. It is an adventure tournament as it has a high lake area and lakes.

competition, India is scheduled to reach Kalikhola on August 22nd, Nunthala on August 23rd, Big Bhanjyang on August 24th, Timbung Pokhari on August 25th and return to Lakshmi Pokhari in Sikkim. The program will conclude with a trail run. The opening and closing of the
program will be held at the Big Bhanjang. It is estimated that 16 lakh 18 thousand rupees will be spent for the trail run. It is mentioned that 11 lakhs will be demanded from Sidingwa Rural Municipality, tourism office Kakadvittawat and concerned agencies.
