On the occasion of its 62nd anniversary, the National Sports Council (Rakhep) has awarded the National Men's/Women's Kho Kho team with the best award.

The Kho Kho team has been awarded for seniors. Men's/Women's teams were awarded trophies with Rs 1 lakh each . Both teams won silver medals in the first Kho Kho World Cup held in India. India won the gold.

Along with the Kho Kho team, 2 players in junior and 1 in para, 10 employees, 1 national sports association, 1 sponsor, 2 journalists and a local were honored .

Arpil Rana of boxing in junior men and Pooja Mahato of cricket in women were awarded with 50,000 cash. Arpil won bronze in Asian U-22 Youth Boxing in Thailand and Asian Boxing U-19 in Sri Lanka.

Pooja scored 272 runs and took 10 wickets in the ICC U-19 World Cup Asian Qualifiers. She was successful in being the 'Player of the Series' in the same selection. Pooja became the 'Player of the Match' in the U-19 T-20 World Cup between Nepal and Malaysia. Palesha Gobardhan of taekwondo was honored with 50,000. Palesha won a bronze medal at the Paris Paralympics and a bronze medal at the 10th Asian Para Taekwondo in Malaysia.

Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) was awarded with 1 lakh for the best national sports association. Nepalaya International was awarded as the best sponsor and Bagmati Rural Municipality, Makwanpur was awarded as the best local level . Anjan and Lakshmi honored as

Anjan Khadka, news coordinator of sports dotcom and Lakshmi Shakya of Merokhel dotcom were honored with 20,000. Khadka is the Secretary General of Nepal Sports Journalist Forum and a member of Shakya Forum.

Phanindra Prasad Paudel of the Council Secretariat (Administration) and Taekwondo instructor Bhimalal Vick (Training) of the Dang District Sports Development Committee were awarded the best council service award for staff. Both got 25,000 each.

Prabha Karmacharya of the organization coordination branch in the administration of the excellent council service award and Tulsinand Vajracharya, the taekwondo coach of the Lalitpur District Sports Development Committee, was honored with 15,000.
