Dhungedeurali Club became the champion in Rara Lamachaur Cup open men's volleyball tournament on Tuesday. Dhungedeurali of Syangja defeated GM Samaj Kawasoti by 3-2 sets (22-25, 25-18, 25-27, 26-24, 15-12) and won 3 lakh rupees in the final organized by Navadarsh Community Development Society. Runner-up GM won 150,000.
Dhungedeurali Sanjuvikram Shah came under the captaincy. Dhungedeurali's successful bid was the best player. He got 10,000. He also became the match of the final. Winners dominated category awards. Best Spiker Sanjuvikram, Best Defender Rajan Darlami, Best Server Kisan Gurung, Emerging Player Sugam Sunar and Best Coach Vikram Nepali were selected. GM Samaj's Vivas Ale became the best setter and Himal Sunari became the best blocker.
Similarly, Shanta Mavi has won the title of Lamachaur Cup intermavi female volleyball. In the final, Lamachaur defeated Tops Mavi in 3-1 sets and won 1 lakh. The runner-up got 50,000. Shantaki Prithvi Gah became the best player.
Expected to be Best Spiker, Esther Rai Best Server, Pramila Nepali Best Blocker, Elina Gurung Best Libero, Topski Eliza Ale Best Setter. Dinesh Chaudhary of Shanta and Yamuna Thapa of Rising Player Pokhara United became the best coach. The Lamachaur Cup was organized as part of the 27th edition of the Lamachaur Teej Festival.
