The refereeing commission under the Nepal Judo Association honored Kavita Pun on Monday. Kavita was honored for passing the IJF Continental Referee Exam.

The exam was held in Amman, Jordan from August 15 to 19. With this achievement, Kavita has qualified to play the role of judge in judo competitions up to the Asian level. Kavita is the second woman to achieve this feat from Nepal and the 13th judge overall.

Radhadevi Rai and Ravi Chaudhary from Nepal participated in the IJF Continental Referee Examination and Seminar, but only Kavita was successful.

Kavita was honored by Judo Federation President Deepakharsh Vajracharya and Commission President Dharma Kumar Shrestha with certificates of appreciation.
