Sambhavi School has won the double title of the first ward level inter-school futsal competition. In the finals of the competition on Monday, Sambhavi School won the title for male and female students by defeating Shikshantar School. Sambhavi won the double title by defeating the female side by 1-0 goals and the male side by 7-2 goals.
Kathmandu Metropolitan City-9 Ward Committee of National Youth Association organized the competition with the aim of producing athletes from school level.
The winner got 10, the runner-up got 5 and the third team got 3 thousand rupees. Sambhavi's Rekha Thapa and Vikas Mukhia were awarded as the best players. Kathmandu Metropolitan Ward President Ramji Bhandari and others distributed prizes to the winning players. He said that by organizing competitions at the school level, children will be inspired to build a future in sports.
The secretary of Rashtriya Yuva Sangh Kathmandu Ward No. 9, Vishal Rajbhandari, said that the competition will be continued by including more games in the coming year. 12 schools participated in the two-day competition.
