Thunue Marma scored the first goal for Bangladesh in the 41st minute. Then Saurabhi Preeti added the second goal in the 44th minute. Mamani Chakka scored the third goal in the fourth minute of second half injury time. Even though Nepal created some good chances throughout the game, none of them proved to be decisive. With this loss, Nepal was limited to three points from three games.
Bangladesh has collected 6 points with its second win in three matches. India have won all three matches and are at the top with 9 points and are strong contenders for the title. India beat Bhutan 8-0 in the first match on Sunday. Bhutan is at the bottom of the four participating teams with zero points. The title chances of the host Bhutan have also ended. Based on double round robin, after the end of the league stage, the top ranked team will be the champion. Now Nepal will face Bangladesh in the match on Wednesday. India and Bhutan will meet in the next match.
