Premier defeated Capital College and Research Center (CCRC) by a score of 79-72 in the final at the Royal Sports Central Hall on Friday. Premier defeated CCRC in the group stage as well. Ashwin Chalise single-handedly scored 32 for the premiers who won the title unbeaten.
Premier led 19-14 in the first quarter and trailed 20-22 in the second. Premier took a 23-10 lead in the third quarter and laid the foundation for victory. In the fourth, CCRC was leading 26-17, but it was not enough to win.
premiere received 25,000 and runner-up CCRC received 10,000. In the competition organized by Abide Global Education Consultancy, Ashwin, the highest scorer in the final, was declared the 'Most Valuable Player'. He won 5000 prize. CCRC's Ashalal Shrestha was selected as the emerging player. The
winner was awarded by Thai Ambassador Suwapong Sirisan, Abide Managing Director Manish Shrestha and CEO Ashish Shrestha. According to Nripesh Shrestha, 11 teams competed in the competition organized by the management of Royal Sports Central and with the support of Chocofall.
