After Sompal Kami's excellent performance, Nepal won its second consecutive victory in the Top End T20 cricket tournament. Nepal defeated Melbourne Renegades Academy by 33 runs in the match at Cazalys Arena in Australia on Wednesday. The previous day, Nepal defeated Hobart Hurricanes Academy by 66 runs.

Nepal batted first and set a target of 140 runs. Chasing that, the Renegades were bowled out for 106 runs in 20 overs. Arjun Nair of the team scored the highest 26 runs.

 Jay Lemire scored 18 and Harry Dixon scored 16. Sompal played a key role in covering the Renegades cheaply. He took 5 wickets with only 17 runs in 4 overs. Kushal Bhurtel took 2 wickets and Rupesh Singh, Dipendra Singh Airi and Shahab Alam took one wicket each. 

Nepal won the toss and decided to bat first. 139 runs were scored in 20 overs with the loss of 9 wickets. Kushal Malla scored the highest 29 runs. Dipendra, who is in the captaincy role, contributed 27 runs. Similarly, Lokesh Bam scored 24 runs and Bhim Sarki scored 17 runs.
