Xavier College and Capital College and Research Center (CCRC) have reached the semifinals in inter-college basketball under the Global Hoop Fest. Xavier remained undefeated and advanced as Group 'A' winners and CCRC Group 'B' runners-up.

Xavier defeated Greenfield National College with a score of 74-61 in the hall of Royal Sports Central. Xavier's Cyrus Magar added 24 points. Greenfield Group reached the semi-finals as runners-up. Tusar Maharjan scored 26 as CCRC beat Times College 57-51. CCRC will meet with Xavier. Greenfield will play Group B winners Premier.

Nancy's score in Galaxy's victory

Gyan Niketan and People's Academy have won the third New Zenith Cup Inter-School Basketball Senior Boys. Gyan beat Heartland Academy by 58-45 and People's beat Gurukulam by 32-10. Host New Zenith beat Anandakuti 24-18, Navodit beat Valley View 47-36, Manaslu beat NIC Academy 38-29, Galaxy Public beat Veeraseva 17-15 and Constellation beat Pushpa Sadan by 57-51. In senior girls, Jaycees beat Pushpa Sadan 22-9 and Galaxy beat New Zenith 34-3. Aniva Maharjan of Jaycees scored 14 and Nancy Shrestha of Galaxy scored 10.
