The Palpa District Volleyball Association, which includes three popular players including the national volleyball player Himal Sunari, has won the title of 'Second Ranujireshwari Bhagwati Cup' held at Tansen in Palpa.

Palpa District Volleyball Association won the title by defeating Forever Japan Jokio Volleyball Club (Syangja) by 3-2 sets in the final held at Tansen Tundikhel on Monday under the organization of Srinagar Volleyball Club Palpa.

being the winner, District Volleyball Association Palpa has received one lakh 75 thousand in cash, trophy, certificate. 

With being the runner-up, Forever Japan Jokio Volleyball Club was satisfied with 125,000 cash trophies and certificates. Manimukund Volleyball Club of Rupandehi won the third place after defeating GM Samaj Nawalpur (formerly Nawalparasi) by 3-1 in the tournament that started on July 28th. 

Manimukund beat Nawalpur in sets of 28-26, 25-14, 21-25 and 25-16. With the third place, they got 60,000 cash, trophy and certificate, while Nawalpur, which was the consolation prize, got 30,000 cash trophy and certificate. In the

league competition, 5 teams participated on the men's side. On the academic side, the best player of the Palpa District Volleyball Association was Himal Gold. Ashok Shrestha of the best server association, Rajan Darlami of Friends Forever Japan Tokyo on defense, Lochan Ale of Manimukund Volleyball Club on the blocker, Dipesh Kunwar of Manimukund on the setter, Sanjuvikram Shah of Friends Forever on the spiker, Srinagar Volleyball Club President Krishna Ale informed.

Chandeswari Yuva Club Ribdikot-6, Thimure became the first after defeating Nisdi Volleyball Club in a set of 3-0. He became the first by trailing in sets of 25-13, 25-20 and 25-23. Along with being the first, Chandeswari, who is the first, has received 30,000 cash, a certificate and a trophy.  Nisdi, who came second in

, received a trophy and a certificate along with cash of 20,000. On the women's side, Kanung Volleyball Club Palpa, who came third, defeated New Horizon Volleyball Club Tansen in a 3-0 set and became third.

Kanung Volleyball Club, who finished third, will get a trophy and certificate along with 10,000 cash, while New Horizon, who is comforted, will receive 5,000 prizes, according to the organizers. Deepak Chauhan, Secretary of Srinagar Volleyball Club informed that the best player for academic women is Anisa Roka of Chandeswari Yuva Club, Rashmita Gurung of Chandeswari in defense, Lokmaya Bayambu of Blocker Nisdi, Pratibha Chaudhary of New Horizon in setter, Soing Thapa of Spiker Chandeswari and Richa Gaha of Nisdi in server.

Health Minister of Lumbini Province Khem Saru, President of Srinagar Volleyball Club Krishna Bahadur Ale, District President of Nepali Congress Palpa Himaladat Shrestha and others distributed cash prizes, trophies and certificates to the winning team and players.

Health Minister Saru emphasized that sports should be given priority and promoted from the grassroots level as it is a means of making a name in the country and abroad. He said that the Lumbini state government is also looking at the field of sports with importance and managing the budget accordingly.
