The 3rd Nakhipot Open Men's Futsal Tournament organized by Nakhipot Youth Club will be held from October 3.

50 to 60 teams are expected to participate in the tournament, the president of the organizing club, Jang Bahadur Sunuwar, said in a press conference on Monday.

winner will get 1 lakh 25 thousand and runner-up will get 65 thousand rupees. 15,000 will be awarded to the best player. The best goalkeeper and the highest scorer will each get 7,000 prizes.  Sujan Rai, treasurer of the club, said that about 529,000 will be spent for the

competition.

The match of the two-day tournament will be held at Futsal Village in Nakhipot. The club is also organizing basketball and football with attractive cash prizes.

Vice President Indrajit Limbu informed that the competition was held with the aim of promoting futsal and sports culture among the youth, providing a platform for talented players to display their abilities, strengthening mutual harmony and unity among local communities through sports, and increasing the possibility of sports tourism at the local level.
