Raut first in open race competition

Ganesh Singh Raut became the first in the open race competition held on Sunday under Jaycees week. Raut became the first by completing the scheduled 6.5 km race from Paslang to Padeli Mahadevsthan in 21 minutes and 50 seconds.

Raut, who became the first, received 15,000 cash prize .

Similarly, in the competition, Yamraj Khatri was second, Gautam Shrestha was third and Saroj Giri became consolation. Rachan Pariyar of Gorkha Jaycees informed that the second, third and consolation contestants got 7,500, 4,000 and 2,000 respectively.

Similarly, Durga Saud, the first female runner to participate in the competition, has been awarded two thousand cash prizes. 53 runners participated in the open race.

Likewise, Tika Bahadur Bogti of Gorkha Municipality-2, a medal winning runner at the international level, was honored at the opening ceremony of the competition. Bogti represented Nepal and won the 7th Saag 1995 gold medal in Chennai, India.

Likewise, Bogti, who has participated in the two-time Olympic marathon, has been honored for his contribution in bringing the entire nation to the world.

The Chief Minister of Gandaki Province, Surendraraj Pandey, presented a certificate of honor to Bogti at the opening ceremony of Jaycees Week-2025.
