KC of Ghorahi-based Gurukul Academy won the silver medal by defeating the Russian players in the tournament held in Pattaya, Thailand.
A boy from Rukum West won the second place in the taekwondo competition held in Thailand. Shubham KC, 12 years old, residing in Ghorahi, Bamfikot Rural Municipality-3, has won the position after beating competitors from 26 countries in the 8th Heroes International Competition.
His coach Sunita Bisht said that he participated in the competition representing Nepal from Alpha Taekwondo Dojang in KC Ghorahi-15, studying in class 6 at Gurukul Academy in Ghorahi.
Coach Bista said that in the competition between men's under 33 kg players in the Cadet Under Towel organized on August 8 and 9 in Pattaya, Thailand, KC won the place.
His mother Sharda KC said that she was happy that her son won the second place representing Nepal in this competition in which players from 27 countries participated.
