DAV won the title by defeating LRI by 51 runs in the first RRA Running Shield cricket tournament on Thursday.

DAV, who emerged as the winner from the match held at the host Radiant Readers Academy, won a prize of Rs 30,000 and the runner-up got Rs 15,000.

DAV made 84 runs after losing 5 wickets in scheduled 10 overs. DAV's famous Jaisi scored 37 off 13 balls and Farhan Ansari added 11 runs off 6 balls. LRI captain Abhi Thapalia took 3 wickets. In the

reply, LRI was bowled out for 33 runs in 9.4 overs. Abhi added 6 runs. Jaisi, famous in bowling, took 3 wickets and Kamal Shahi took 2 wickets.

DAV's famous player of the tournament was declared. He scored 135 runs and took 8 wickets. The famous was chosen as the best batter. LRI's Abhi Thapaliya became the best bowler. The

winner was awarded by Nepal Cricket Association Vice President Roshan Singh, Radiant Readers Founder Principal DK Dhungana and others. 15 teams, including two of the organizers, competed on a Leaguecom knockout basis.
