Nepali Wadorio karate players have won four gold and one silver medal in the fifth open international karate competition. The Nepali team was second in the competition.

In the competition held on Saturday in Ratnapura, Sri Lanka, men's under 84 kg Pasang Gyaljeng Thokra, under 52 kg Nishan Ghale and women's under 61 kg Ursala Pahari and under 50 kg Arpana Magar won gold medals. Aaron Sherchan won the silver medal in men's under 40 kg category.

The official Rajkumar Karki was in the Nepali team led by Harisharan KC, the president of the Nepal Wadorio Karate Do Association.
