The National and International Sports Association has said that confusion has been created in the participation of Nepalese athletes in the 20th Asian Games to be held in Japan next year.

Due to the dispute between the government and the Nepal Olympic Committee (NOC), it has expressed concern that Nepalese athletes will not participate in the Asian Games. As the events of the

controversy have increased the confusion among the players who are undergoing special training and other regular training of Mission 2026, the attention of all concerned should be drawn to this, according to a statement issued by the president of the association Deepak Shrestha on Friday. He insists that the frequent controversies seen in

sports have hit the players the most. He said that if the current dispute between the government and the NOC continues, there will be a question about Nepal's participation in the Asian Games.

He has said, 'Who will take the responsibility if a situation arises where the athletes who have been preparing for years cannot participate in the Asian Games? The tendency to escape by blaming each other is not new in Nepali sports. In this regard, we draw the attention of all concerned.'   In the

dispute, rather than who is right or wrong, the Sports Association has asked all parties to take initiatives to ensure the participation of Nepalese athletes in the Asian Games.

Last week Sports Minister Tejulal Chaudhary said that preparations are being made to form an ad hoc committee as the NOC led by Jeevan Ram Shrestha is illegal.
